Who Is the Real Torturer?

Jimmy Carter is at is again - slamming the sitting president for a variety of faults, and accusing him of "torturing" those lovable fellows that some of us call "terrorists". Carter has a way of getting under my skin, but this time he has gone to far. History will show him as the weakest president of the 20th century (at least), and the source of much of the modern strife in the world. Yet there he is - slamming a man who at least had the guts to do what Carter should have done back in '79.

Mr. Carter, who is the real torturer? YOU ARE. Everytime you show your face in public you remind the American people of the worst 444 days of American history, when we all sat in front of our televisions and heard Walter Cronkite tally up the score - "day 276, day 277, day 278....." - need I go on? Watching you on TV with your "Mr. Rodgers'" sweater telling us all to save energy, and then federally mandating the 55 mph speed limit. That was appropriate for your presidency, as it was a real crawl for those four years. Wasn't it under your presidency that the term "misery index" was coined?

This one takes the prize for me, from Wikipedia - "The crisis ended with the signing of the Algiers Accords in Algeria on January 19, 1981. The hostages were formally released into United States custody the following day. The release took place just minutes after Ronald Reagan was officially sworn in as Carter's successor."

Do us a favor - come on up to PA and get a cabin at Spruce Creek, and spend your remaining days fishing and out of sight. We will treat you kindly, and you will cease torturing real Americans who remember the debacle of your presidency.

Anti-War Protest

We went to DC with GATHERING OF EAGLES to meet ANSWER and to speak against their treasonous behavior. What can't be seen in the picture is what our sign said - TREASON. Several protesters confronted us with the "free speech" issue and wanted to know the reason behind our accusation.

It is really quite simple - in a free country we have the right to speak out against our government's policies when we feel they are wrong. The problem arises when our nation is at war, and soldiers are dying and in harm's way. The enemies sees this as a weakness in our resolve, and will capitalize on it in anyway they can. Once they do, and use the propaganda YOU supply to recruit more terrorists, more of our guys die. The Constitution doesn't give you the right to practice sedition against your nation during a time of war.

I was very ecouraged by the vets and families of vets who spent their weekend as a voice against the nonsense spewed by radical Leftitsts and warmed-over hippies. This ain't the sixties, and we are not going to stand by and let you trash our troops and the military.

Worst President?

Jimmy Carter has put his foot in his mouth yet again, calling the Bush Presidency "worst in history". Personally, I owe a lot to Mr. Carter. Way back in 1976 I was a pimple-faced high school student too young to vote, but with the rest of my Democratic family was on the Carter bandwagon. I recall debating my Republican friends daily over lunch on the virtues of how Jimmy Carter was going to take Washington by storm and clean the cesspool up.

By 1980, in the middle of my first year of college, I was working the polls supporting the man I thought would be the best candidate for president - Ronald Reagan. The Jimmy Carter fiasco was enough to make me vomit out any loyalty my family had traditionally held to the Democratic party and flush it into the sewer where it belonged. I witnessed, in those four short years, the stabbing in the back of Taiwan, the giving away of the Panama Canal, double-digit inflation, and of course, the Iran hostage crisis. Over 400-some odd days I watched the leader of the free world wring his hands and twiddle his thumbs while American citizens were humilated by brutal Islamic fascists, and our country was made the laughing-stock of the world. Carter sat by paralyzed, like a kid watching his little sister being beaten up by a bully.

Worst presidency ever? I am not a big fan of El Presidente Bush and his open borders, but I am afraid that in my book honor is not for him, but for YOU, Mr. Carter.

Al Sharpton, Glenn Beck, That Romney guy, and Mormons

I have to confess I didn't catch much of Sharpton's criticism of Romney and his Mormonism, I listened to a good portion of Glenn Beck last Friday. Apparently Sharpton, the professional divider of Americans, is at is again and his latest victims are those of the Mormon persuasion.

However, there is a smidgen of truth in what Sharpton said. In no way would I condone his method of saying it, or his motivation. If I am not mistaken, he implied that Mormons do not worship the same God as Christians, and cannot be described as "Christians".

I studied Christian theology for a large portion of my life, and have also delved briefly into a study of Mormon beliefs as well. My dear Mormon friends and neighbors, let's face the facts. There is no way you could subscribe to the Apostle's Creed, or any of the other Christian creeds, and remain a Mormon. You are nice folks and good neighbors, but we have to be honest with you and say (as a serious, Bible-believing, orthodox Christian of any denomination) you are not a Christian according to the biblical definition.

The question arises about voting for a Mormon for President - could I (as a biblical Christian) vote for a Mormon? I would think that I could, depending on the circumstances. The way a person views God is a core issue that influences much of how they view the world and how they think. Mormons do not believe in a Trinity, and to them the "Father" is just one god among many, who at one time was a regular human being who progress up the ladder until he reached "godhood". Jesus Christ is not the eternal Son of the Father, but one of his many children, among whom is also the devil. Mormons mix up theology, angelology, anthropology, and a bunch of other "ology's". To top it off, the Bible (which is the word of God only if translated correctly) isn't enough for a Mormon, who adds to it the book of Mormon (which is the word of God period) and a couple of other notable theological documents.

To put it bluntly, most of us of the "evangelical" persuasion would probably vote for a good, conservative, patriotic Mormon. "But", that person would not be able to energize the base sufficiently to overcome the huge population of voting Stalinists in New York and California, not to mention the droves of dead people who are resurrected every fourth first Tuesday of November. So, Republicans - give us a decent candidate we can be excited about voting for or be prepared to sit out the next couple of decades.

Waa Waa Nation

Here we go again - somebody says something out of line, and the crowd says, "let the crucifixion begin!"

I am no fan of Imus. I have never even heard him on his radio program. I work for a living, and in addition I hear he is of the leftist persuasion politically so I have no desire to hear him spew his nonsense. Nevertheless, it seems that he has committed two unpardonable sins: first, he spoke disparagingly of African Americans, and second, he is a white guy. In addition, he has apologized his posterior into oblivion, but Sharpton and Jackson still wants his head on a pike.

Should have have said what he said? Of course not. But should half the country bawl and cry about it as if he sacrificed a kitten on the air? Why is it that we have become such a nation of babies that we can't take an insult, even in jest?

Did you ever stop and think about the double standards and hypocrisy that exist in the media? Conservatives and Christians are fair game - say whatever you want about them, no big deal. If a media figure really wants to insult someone, make sure you insult the right person. The more I see the direction our country is headed, the more I realze that our only hope is that God doesn't give us what we deserve.

Happy Easter, Al Gore

I woke up this Easter morning and thought I had experienced a time warp which threw me back to Christmas. Below freezing temperatures, snow plows working the roads, and the furnace blazing full blast. Funny, but I can't help but think of Al Gore during times like these.

According to Mr. Gore, we are all going to die a horrible death getting sucked up into a super-tornado vortex or drowned by melting polar ice caps. Let me say this kindly - was it you or Mr. Clinton who "didn't inhale?"

The fear mongering I see raging through the respective news medias of the world reminds me of what it must of have been like to live during the times of the Dark Ages. Fear and superstition ruled, and the gullible population was putty in the hands of the "elite" and powerful. Only they had the answers, and the people better listen or God would destroy them. Instead of telling the people to sell their SUV's and get a hybrid, they were told to stop eating meat on Fridays and switch to fish. Earthquakes and bad weather meant you weren't giving enough to the coffers of the church, so pay up. Back then, you could have sins forgiven by buying a piece of paper with the pope's seal on it, and you were good to go. Sin as much as you please, but you once you laid your money down you had nothing to worry about. Today, the high priests and priestesses of the Global Warming cult will allow you to do the same thing - run your private jets all over the world, own an SUV or whatever - but pay a certain amount of cash to help make the world a greener place, and you are all right.

History will record this hysteria as the biggest hoax played on modern men. Just as we look with wonder at great medical minds that would bleed George Washington to death to cure his cold, our great-grandkids will view this generation. How stupid were they, really? Rather, how gullible.

Man cannot destroy the world, let's face it. We are too puny, and we are not the ones in control. We can make the world an awful messy place, but change the climate? Maybe what my dad said was wrong after all - "shut the stupid door, we're not heating the outside!" Sorry dad,. but I guess we are. And we are all going to die.

Paypal Run by Mafia Thugs?

I have a question for some of you who do Ebay and utilize the Paypal Service as a seller: How many of you have had Paypal raid your account to pay a buyer who claims not to have received an item, or a defective item?

We have two instances in our family: a year or so ago a woman claimed that my wife did not send her some magazines she ordered. The package came but was "tapered with", with some of the magazines missing. My wife's policy is that her responsibility stops at the post office, that she provides a receipt, and recommends the buyer purchase insurance. My wife provided the receipt for this particular item, showing that all the magazines were included (by the weight of the package) when she mailed them. Lo and behold, Paypal raids her account for the item and the shipping, never informing her of their intentions. They claimed to have sent her an email but she never received it.

We found out yesterday that the same thing happened to my daughter in another state. She sent an item on the last day of February, and about 8 business days later she was told the item was not received. That same day, my daughter noticed her account had been raided by Paypal without going through proper channels (their dispute process) and without notifying her of what they were doing.

When this first happened, I was shocked. Then I found out that because Paypal is not a bank, it is not under the same federal regulations as a bank and can more or less make their own rules. We can fight, gripe, complain, or threaten suicide and they don't care. Paypal is a monopoly run by another monopoly (Ebay) and they know there's no where else you can go.

Our solution? Not really a solution, but an idea - keep your Paypal account as low as possible, and then let them fight you for the money. They can't raid your bank account (at least to my knowledge), and at worse they can kick you off Ebay or Paypal.

Another possibility is to offer buyers a shipping discount if they pay via check or money order. Most of us pad our shipping anyway to cover the Ebay and Paypal fees. Anybody else have ideas? If there was another viable service, I would drop Ebay and Paypal in a heartbeat.

Winning a War

I have been pondering the talk going around Washington lately about the "dire" situation represented in Iraq. Bombs killing folks, troops dying, and so forth. The Politicians, typical of their breed, are smelling the blood in the air and starting to say that the war is "unwinnable".

Dear limp-wristed, over-paid public servants - please read carefully how a real man views war:

Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bull****. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle...Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American.

Of Course, this was from a speech given by George Patton to the Third Army. Whose at fault? We, the American people are. First, for not producing men like George Patton anymore who have the guts to fight our battles. We are intent on castrating our young men by putting girls on their baseball, football and hockey teams. We don't let them play dodgeball anymore because someone might get hurt and sue the school. And debate teams? We certainly can't let people take a stand on controversial issues that might "offend" others.

Secondly, we are at fault for voting people into office like the losers who question our ability to win. Do we question your patriotism? Of course we do. You are traitors, "Quislings", who care only about filling your own belly and getting re-elected. So what if our children and grandchildren will have to fight a strengthened Islamic world after we have sufficiently gutted our defenses and opened our borders to allow the enemy in to scout us out.

As a student of history, I see a very bleak future for our country unless God is merciful to us. In the Old Testament, God judged Israel for their sins by placing the weak into leadership during difficult times. That is exactly what we have today. "As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths". (Isaiah 3:12).

Is there hope? We as Americans need to repent and confess our sins to God and ask for mercy, and while we are at it ask for leaders who will truly lead. Here's more of Patton's speech, read it and see why we defeated the greatest military powers in the world on two separate fronts, while today we whimper and shy away from bozos who hide in the shadows and blow up women and children.

...My men don't dig foxholes. I don't want them to. Foxholes only slow up an offensive. Keep moving. And don't give the enemy time to dig one either. We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have; or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-b******, we're going to rip out their living G******** guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks.

That, my friends, is the attitude that will win a war.

LIBERALISM - a legacy of DEATH

Here is just a thought regarding those who consider Liberals "kind" and "gracious", while conservatives and mean and nasty.

Liberalism KILLS. Look at it this way - the Liberal judge and judicial system sets a guy loose who has committed murder. The guy goes out and kills again - who is responsible?

Dope-smoking hippies of the sixties, who are now teaching our kids in college, convinced our country to "make love not war" and we left Vietnam. Do your research and see how many million innocents were MURDERED after US troops pulled out. Check it out, and get back with me.

Remember the DDT scare about 30 years ago? I remember the trucks spraying the neighborhoods for mosquitoes when I was a kid, and the fun we had running behind it in the fog. Some bozo wrote a book citing false information about the dangers of DDT and had it banned. No big deal, right? We are better off without those nasty chemicals. Well, tell that to the millions of Africans who died of Malaria since then. They can't get DDT anymore, so the mosquitoes have had a field day feasting on (and KILLING) African children.

Liberalism is MURDERING our grandchildren right now. They convinced our country to "negotiate" with the beheading, throat-slitters of Iran and Syria. In a few years, our grandchildren will either be fighting them on the battlefield or submitting to Islam under the sword. They will fight them after they have become stronger with their oil-money and organization, when we could have put them down now with much less bloodshed if we had the will to do it.

The Stupidity of Liberalism

Sometimes liberalism is a good thing. The way our country treated minorities way back when was atrocious, and needed to be changed. On that we can all agree. However, when we think of the overall affect of Liberalism, we would have to say it is just plain "stupidity".

How many examples do we need? Let's delve into a couple.

1. Re-introduction of Wolves.

Years ago our forefathers hunted down wolves and killed them. They did more than that, they eradicated them from many parts of the our country. Why? The damage they did to livestock and the danger they posed to people. Now, some will tell you that wolves are not dangerous and stay away from people. Maybe so, in general. But let's say the deer and rabbits have been scarce and some night they come across your 2 year old wondering around in your wooded back yard - what's the chance of them making a meal out of such easy prey? Smart.

2. Drilling for Oil.

You know we can't drill for oil in certain parts of Alaska. Not off the coast of Florida. Why? It might make a mess. A few birds might have oil spilled on them and they could die. Sad indeed.

So what do we do? We buy it from Hugo Chavez and the Saudis. One who would like to destablize North and South America, and the others who have proven that nothing would please them more than to see us all jumping out of burning skyskrapers - real smart.

3. Negotiating with Fascists.

You would think that the world would have learned it's lesson back in the 30's. "Peace in our Time", and Charles Lindbergh hob-nobbing with the Nazis discovering what fine folk they are.
How many people died because the "Liberals" of the day wanted to talk, and talk, and talk.....while Hitler wanted time to build his arsenal. Does any of this sound familiar today? Does anyone remember the famous line, "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it?"

4. Freedom of Speech.

The founding fathers understood that freedom of speech had it's limits. If a person "disagreed" with the good old USA during the time of war, and said the enemy way right, they were tossed into prison. Today we can embolden our enemies by sowing discord and dividing the country during war, and its a good thing. We can broadcast vile music, or O.J.'s non-confession, and it's protected by the Consititution. But woe be to the high school kid who mentions God as the solution to a problem - shut him up! "Separation of Church and State".

I'm getting tired of this, and I am sure the reader is as well. We could go on and on - taxation, welfare, automobile emmissions - but there is no need to. Liberalism has proven itself to be just plain stupid, and will always hurt and kill rather than help a country.

Identifying the Enemy

No peace-loving person likes confrontation. Let's face it, we have to deal with it or we will certainly be overrun, forced to convert to Islam or die. Some might say people publishing such news are alarmists, but I would have to say you have your head in the sand.

Recently I spent some time on an Islamic forum discussing the political situation. What shocked and amazed me were the Islamists who are living in this country and are not afraid to say how horrible the USA is - even calling for it's destruction. Enjoying the freedom and benefits of our great nation, but insulting and threatening us at the same time. We MUST confront this enemy within. If left unchecked, we will be no better then the weak European nations prior to the Nazi invasions, who simply rolled over and gave up. Why? The Nazis had long infiltrated their population and government, and when the time came it was a simple thing to takeover.

Know your enemy - he wants to kill or convert you, and will stop at nothing until he succeeds. He is not afraid to die or kill babies to accomplish his goal. He is a barbarian.

The Greatest Generation

We recently attended the funeral of a great-uncle who had served in WWII, and were priviledge to meet several of his comrades who had served with him. There were only 4 present at the funeral, and they provided the military honors, including the rifle salute at the graveside. These old fellows still looked sharp in their uniforms, and were still able to handle and fire their rifles, despite all being in their 80's.

I grew up around WW2 vets - my grandmother had 4 brothers who served (all gone now) and it was common to hear them describe their service. Our recently departed uncle had a large part of influencing our two sons currently serving in the military.

These fellows were certainly of a different breed. Though the loss of life in Iraq is a tragedy, the cost in human life has been slight compared to what these men endured. Our Uncle was wounded when the truck he was driving struck a land mine, killing several others. He never received a purple heart for the gash in his arm, him and many other simply brushed it off, got patched up and went back to the fight. His buddy, who was officiating the service, had also been wounded - both shoulders broken. Same situation.

If we are to survive, we must endeavor to get something of the fighting spirit they had. Read their stories, remember their sacrifice, and learn from their example. They were not afraid to identify the enemy even if it insulted some - look at the old posters from the era. The enemy wants to kill us, and isn't afraid to say so.

Set Them Loose

Just Set Them Loose!
We had an interesting visit at Fort Benning attending our son's graduation from boot camp. What an experience! We viewed a very small sample of the power of the US military while living amongst some of the finest folks in America.

The new soldiers had just finished rigorous training, and now are going on to learn more in their particular field. Our son is taking studies in intelligence gathering, and gave us a rather interesting display on how the enemy is searched before being taken into custody.

The fellow in the picture had been part of a demonstration of full battle gear, and was kind enough to pose for this picture.

The point is this - the enemy does not have a chance. We saw first hand the training and equipment these fellows have. Should they be set loose to do their job, they would make short work of the enemy.

More on the Border

Let's assume that most Mexican illegals are here for a job.

Not all illegals are like Miguel Paddilla of Gallitzin, PA, who blasted three legal American citizens and left them bleeding to death on the steps of the UVA club.

You want to come here to work? No Problem - we have welcomed many millions of immigrants before and they have become part of the American family. My own family has immigrant roots. That's not the issue.

The issue is the fact that you are here illegally. That means something, and it is making a great many of us very angry.

Why? Take a look at this picture:

The ugly one on the right is my US Marine son. The lovely lady beside him is his wife, and the boy on my son's lap is our step-grandson. Why does the illegal issue make me angry? Because my son has spent thousands of dollars and many hours of time to make his Thai wife a legal immigrant. We have not yet met our daughter-in-law in person. She is well-educated, intelligent, and speaks English very well. If she came to this country she would not be in the fields picking strawberries. He is not alone - ask any military family what they go through to get their foreign-born spouses into this country.

Should we put out the welcome mat and offer citizenship to those who jumped our border, while we let people like my daughter-in-law shuffle paperwork for years before they get in?

My solution - (did I say this before?) don't round up the illegals and deport them. Slap the biggest fine you can on every single employer who hires them. Offer rewards for those who turn them in. Stop the welfare, medical, and educational subsidies for those who are not here legally. Offer them a free bus trip back. When the cash cow dries up, they will go home on their own, and then GET IN LINE with the rest of the immigrants. Wait your turn, pay your dues, and do it legally - and we welcome you to our American family. Do it illegally, and we give you the boot right back to where you came from. Try it again, and maybe Gitmo would be a good alternative.

Bordering on Nonsense

I really don't get it. It's hard for me to watch my party in meltdown-mode because so few of them have the guts to do the right thing. Here is what Senate Majority Leader Frist said about the issue: "If you just try to build a wall 30 feet high and 2,000 miles long, it will be insufficient. People will go up over it, around it, in order to get a job in this country."

Now let's see - thirty feet high and 2,000 miles long. 30 feet is pretty close to the heighth of a telephone pole, 2,000 miles would surely cover the entire border. Has Mr. Frist every tried to go over a wall thirty feet high? The reason they get in is because we let them in. What did the Chinese do when they had trouble with troublesome invaders? Built a pretty decent wall, but that's not all they did. What did Hadrian do to keep out those nasty Scotsmen? Built a wall, (see picture) but that's not all they did. They placed armed soldiers on the wall to prevent invaders from going up over or around it. When are we going to wake up?

You know what woke up our part of the state of Pennsylvania? You don't see illegals hanging out on corners trying to get jobs around here. They are here, but we didn't realize it until one morning we woke up and heard about the FIRST triple homicide in Altoona. An illegal Mexican lost his temper when he was denied admittance to a local club and shot down four people. Three of them died on the spot. A buddy of mine has a brother who is a State cop and had arrested the fellow and turned him into ICE. They simply let him go. Now the blood of three innocent LEGAL Americans is on their hand, and the hands of all those in the US Government who let illegal invaders not only get in, but roam free and terrorize our people. This is happening all over the country - homes robbed, people murdered, communities trashed. How long with the American people tolerate the spineless leaders who permit the rape of our country?

The Da Vinci Joke

This space reserved for discussion on a very serious book and movie.

The Da Vinci Code will soon be hitting the big screen and is already stirring up controversy at about 6.5 on the richter scale. I have not read the book or seen the movie, but if somebody insults me enough and calls me stupid, and hurts my feelings, maybe I will.

From what I can make of it has something to do about the Holy Grail. Being a Christian, this is an important topic for me. We saw how much suffering the Knights endured in search of it, and what it can do to Nazis who transgress its power.

Apparently it makes a few claims about the Church and Jesus Christ that are considered out of the ordinary. The church didn't believe Jesus Christ was divine until Constantine called the Council of Nicea? I have been a student of Church history and the Bible for nearly thirty years, and that's a new one on me. Jesus was married and had a kid? Who is this Dan Brown guy - another Joseph Smith trying to start a new religion? The "Facts" of this book are so easy to disclaim, it really is a joke. The sad thing is that most Americans get their Bible and history knowledge from TV and movies, so we can only imagine how many poor ignorant souls will walk away confused and believing this religious comedy as fact.

The book and movie are claiming that somehow the church supressed a whole slew of gospel accounts and left us with only the approved four. These gospels have been around for 2,000 years and have changed the world - thousands of people have died because they refused to deny the truth that they contain. I don't think we have much to worry about this movie being the last nail in the coffin.

Another thing - I am still waiting for a movie on the life of Mohammed. What a blockbuster that would be! Was Mohammed married? Was he married to any nine year old girls? Now that would be an interesting movie, especially to those with pedophiliac leanings. But don't hold your breath.

Who Won the Cartoon Wars?

After the fires have been put out, the dust settled, and the bodies buried - who won the cartoon wars? Everybody's been crying about protecting the "freedom of speech" and all that junk, but in the end nothing has been protected.

Whose job is it to protect freedom of speech? The newspaper editors and television producers? Not on your life. It is the job of the U.S. Government and military. When throat-slitting, blood-thirsty, raving lunatic religious zealots say they plan on taking off your head if you publish a picture, there is not much you can do. "You can run, but you can't hide" - they will find you and they will kill you. It is the job of the US government to FIND THEM AND KILL THEM FIRST.

You know that the Muslim throat-slitters have won when COMEDY CENTRAL cannot broadcast a picture because they fear retaliation. They have no problem offending anyone and everyone, but not the throat-slitters. They don't want them knocking on their door.

I recall as a young highschool graduate watching the Iran Hostage Crisis. I and nearly every other American male was ready to pick up an M-16 and take a trip and settle it. But no - Jimmy Carter was President and instead we give the murderers nearly three decades to build up and make plans to make us all hostages - and they have. So much for "freedom of the press".
